Oveous Maximus

Ove Is a native NEW YORKER who’s parents came from the Dominican Republic. He started writing and performing at the NUYORICAN Poets Cafe in the summer of 2003 after he lost his only brother CARLOS "ZINC BLUE" to suicide. Losing his brother was devasting for many obvious reasons but, being that he was an aspiring poet/author who never had the chance to glow in front of an
audience made this tragedy even more difficult to deal with. Ove's prescene on stage has become a symbol of honor in the name of his brother "ZINC BLUE" who is the eternal driving-force behind Ove's work to uplift and rejoice the spirits of all people.

So Now, Ove has essentially decided to devote the rest of his life to honoring his brother thru this amazing art we call SpokenWord. You can check him out at his website mocaarts.com or on myspace.com.
